The chronological story of the Iceland Defense Force from their arrival in 1951 to the withdrawal of the last units in 2006. Their are interviews with participants and specialists both in Iceland and abroad. Former military sites in Iceland are revisited and ample use made of previuosly unseen stock footage.
This documentary film was selected to be in competition at the 60th Nordische Filmtage held in Lübeck.
